For the first time, "Indonesian Fair" will be held, an Indonesian people's party that highlights and presents the rich heritage of the nation through culinary heritage, Indonesian music concerts featuring 1,000 bands, exhibitions of folk legends and multi-product exhibitions created by the nation's children in various forms of goods and services. All packaged into the biggest indoor grand event held on 20 October – 6 November 2016 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition – Bumi Serpong Damai.
This activity is also intended to invite all elements of Indonesian society to show real work in various fields to develop Indonesia, both in the fields of culinary, music, entrepreneurship, educational family entertainment and so on.
• Exhibition of Folk Legend Stories "AlKisah"
Pekan Raya Indonesia presents the exhibition "Storytelling" by Rio Motret, which introduces Indonesian legendary story culture with modern elements through photo media. Raising 17 legendary Indonesian folk tales and involving 65 celebrities, 15 designers, 10 fashion stylists and make-up artists, this is an exhibition that collaborates between art and fashion.
Some of the folk tales he lifted were Abai Nan Aluih from West Sumatra, Si Pitung from Jakarta, Lutung Kasarung from West Java, Sangkuriang from West Java, Jawa Tarub & 7 Bidadari from Central Java, Roro Jonggrang from Yogyakarta, Bawang Merah Bawang Putih from Yogyakarta, Keong Mas from East Java, Ande Ande Lumut from East Java, Calon Arang from East Java, Malin Kundang from West Sumatra, Timun Mas from Central Java, Nyi Roro Kidul from Yogyakarta, Lake Toba from North Sumatra, Origin of Banyuwangi from East Java, Drupadi from the Mahabharata Legend, and also Rara Mendut from East Java.
• Multi-product exhibition
An indoor area of 60,000 M2 will present hundreds of multi-product exhibitions ranging from automotive cars & motorbikes and accessories, multi-product gadgets, telecommunications, electronics, home appliances, consumer goods, fashion & lifestyle, furniture & interior, property and children's toy products. Apart from that, there will be an exhibition of SME crafts from all over Indonesia.
